Shape up for Summer – 4 week plan

With over 25 years experience in the Fitness Industry I Paul Byrne know a thing or two about how to get in great shape. 

Over the next 4 weeks we will be using a hit style circuit approach to help increase your metabolism, increase your fitness levels and help you shape up all at the same time.

So why does this approach work? Adding high intensity into your workout will help speed up the metabolism but is also one of the best ways to burn calories. Lets be honest we all lead very busy lives and sometimes it can be hard to find the time for training, but remember one thing, consistency with your food and training combined will be what will work to get you in great shape.

Each week you are going to have 3 workouts to complete. You should complete these workouts every alternate day and on the other days complete a fast paced 25 minute walk. You can include this on your way to work on your way home or collecting the kids from school whatever works for you. You should try to keep your form as perfect as possible keeping your tummy tight and your back always straight not curved. Keep your chest out and shoulders back at the same time this will help to keep your form good and your core working through out. 

Each workout will take 25-30 minutes depending on your ability. Remember that the first workout will always be difficult but it will only get easier from there.

Sip water throughout your workout so you stay hydrated. After the first workout your muscles may feel sore this is perfectly normal and know as DOMS syndrome Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness. The workout will be a mixture of all over body including core to really make you work hard.
